December 2018 TBR!

I am 6 books……… LET ME REPEAT – 6 BOOKS! away from reaching my goal of reading 100 books in 2018!!! To say I’m excited is an understatement! If I can actually reach my triple digit goal this year, I will be elated, delighted, and euphoric! Falling short by a book or two is NOT an option! So, I tried to carefully choose books that I know I can power through, while also finishing off a couple series that I started this year. It’s win, win! So here are the books I plan to read in December, provided my mood reading doesn’t get in the way yet again lol!

The book that I KNOW for a fact I WILL read this month is My True Love Gave To Me – which is literally the only Christmas themed book I own! It should be easy to fly through as it’s a collection of short stories. Some of which were written by some of my favourite authors! I can’t wait!

The next book is one that I’ve been wanting to read for the LONGEST time, but the size of it (and the series as a whole) continues to intimidate me. But I have so many people screaming at me to finally read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon! My mother in law asks me if I’ve read it yet almost every time I see her lol! I need to make it happen! Winter is the best time for me to read historical fiction!

The next two books are ones that I’ve been wanting to get to for a long time now. The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry is a book that was talked about quite a lot when I got back into reading a few years ago. People praised it like crazy, even if it wasn’t their typical genre. It’s a book about a bookstore – what’s not to love!?

The Unseen World is another one that I heard about due to praise on BookTube. It’s not really the type of book that I gravitate towards, but it kept popping up and everyone said that it was amazing and unexpected with an explosive ending.

And the last two books will be the icing on the cake! The Hero of Ages is the final book to the Mistborn trilogy which I started just this year. I kind of don’t want to finish it because then it will be over, but I know that there’s more Brandon Sanderson where that came from lol! I also started the Red Rising series this year and Morning Star is book 3. If I finish this book then it will mean that I am almost caught up with the series. YAY!

Those are the 6 books that I hope to read this month. Have no fear, my 100 books in 2018 goal is as good as done. There’s no way I’m going to get this close and let the opportunity pass me by! I can’t wait to see that goal complete on Goodreads! What do you plan on reading this month?
