What’s next for Top 5 Tuesday?

I’ve had a lot of people contact me over the last few weeks asking “what’s next for Top 5 Tuesday” now that the blog is switching to reviews only. Well – i’ve got good news and bad news.

The bad news?

The bad news is that my time with Top 5 Tuesday has come to an end. I’ve been running this meme on a weekly basis for a few years now and i’ve always thought of it as my baby. Every Tuesday I was so excited to talk about a new topic and see what books made the participants lists. I was also always so excited to see how everyone put spins on topics that didn’t necessarily suit them! Literally every time I was blown away by the creativity within this community!!! Sadly, my life has just become too busy to be able to have the time to dedicate to this wonderful blogging activity. It wasn’t fair to anyone to continue the way that things are for me right now.

The good news?

Just because my time with Top 5 Tuesday is over, it doesn’t mean that the meme is over!!!! In fact, Top 5 Tuesday is being taken over by one of its most faithful of participants! And that is MEEGHAN from the blog Meeghan Reads! I honestly couldn’t think of anyone better to take over operations! She was always so creative, enthusiastic, and brilliant in her participation and I just know that she will love this just as much as I did! She was almost always one of the first to post their topics for the week too lol.

I’m not going to lie – this is hard. I kind of feel like I’m saying goodbye to a piece of myself. My Tuesdays have been the same for years on end and it was always my favourite part of the week. I loved the community involvement and the amount of books that I found through doing this is just insane!!! To know that I don’t get to wake up in the morning to a horde of your epic lists…. is just heartbreaking. BUT, like I said, if there was anyone out there in the bookish community that I know will do this proud and proper, it’s Meeghan!

She will be starting in the month of August (which is just a few days away!…… how is time going by so fast?!) so keep your eyes peeled to her blog RIGHT HERE to see what you’ll be talking about first!

I honestly can’t thank you all enough. I’ve read some amazing books because of you, had some really amazing conversations, and found some truly wonderful people along the way.
