Hello November – we’ve got HUGE reading plans! First – a little life update. I’ve already mentioned that I got the results of my CT scan and it was clear! My lymph nodes are still inflamed and weird, but it’s only reactive and there’s no malignancy! So the cancer isn’t back and I’m still cancer free. Actually, it was 2 years ago on Halloween that I was declared cancer free from my radiologist, so it was like a full circle thing. I also wanted to say a huge thank you for all your kind words and support. I’ve realized that I don’t need to suffer alone. I’ve always been the type of person to keep my feelings to myself because I didn’t want to burden anyone with my fears. My amazing husband (who is my rock – seriously) has taught me that support and sharing is needed. I’m not a burden and I need support. So THANK YOU to everyone for being there for me!!!!!! It really means a lot! Anyways, now that my anxiety has subsided, I can finally focus on books! I’ve got a lot that I want to read this month and some of them are chunky as all hell! Enough rambling, on with the TBR!
KINGDOM OF ASH by Sarah J Maas
IT’S HERE!! It’s finally time to end this series – and I’m not sure that I’m ready! The way that the book previously ended, it set this book up for a lot of pain and possible heart break. I have a feeling that it’s not going to end well…….. I’m scared lol! I’m also scared of the size…. IT’S HUGE! I finally got mine in the mail yesterday and the pages are so thin! 992 pages…… this one might take a while lol
THE WELL OF ASCENSION by Brandon Sanderson
I loved Mistborn so much that I decided to start the sequel! I think that I need to marathon this one and book three this month! But at 784 pages, I’m not sure there’s going to be time for both this month lol
BRIDGE OF CLAY by Markus Zusak
New Markus Zusak!! He’s such an incredible author! But since his books are so different from each other, I don’t really know what to expect. Oh wait! Yes I do! An amazing story! I actually like going into his books not knowing anything so I can experience it completely for myself
SCRAPPY LITTLE NOBODY by Anna Kendrick
I’ve seen quite a few people on Twitter talking about Non Fiction November – so I thought I would join in! It’s been a long time since I’ve read a non fiction, and I love Anna Kendrick so this is a match made in book worm heaven! I can’t wait for this!
THE CUCKOOS CALLING by Robert Galbraith
Yet another book that I’ve had on my shelf for years and haven’t read! I’m determined to get to this one! I’m a little nervous though – crime and mystery isn’t my thing. I hope that since it’s J.K. Rowling I might enjoy it. Time will tell!
TBR UNHAUL CHALLENGE – NOVEMBER EDITION!
THE SHADOW OF THE WIND by Carlis Ruiz Zafon
If you saw my wrap up yesterday, I didn’t get to one of the books in my challenge last month. Things were just too chaotic. So I used my one save of the year and saved this one! The rule is – I have to read it the following month or it HAS to go. No pressure or anything lol! But this was my last save of the year so I better read the ones chosen in December or there isn’t a chance!
THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan
My daughter chose this one because she’s actually reading it in class this month. She’s loving it so far and has actually drawn Greek inspired cabins for her art class! Anything that inspires her that much has to be good! I can’t wait to read this and talk to her about it!!
YIKES! 7 books on the TBR this month and quite a few of them are over 500 pages! I’m hoping that I stay motivated enough to get through them all!! I guess we’ll find out at the end of the month – wish me luck! LOL! What are you planning on reading in November?
Until next time, happy reading!
Yay for no cancer!!! I had skin cancer several years ago and it’s such a scary thing to go through. I’m so glad to hear that you are doing okay.
You’ve got a really good lineup for November. I really enjoyed Shadow of the Wind when I first read it in college. The 3rd book in the series is my favorite. Enjoy!

Sorry to hear that you had to go through that. Everyone seems to think that when youāre a cancer survivor that your life goes back to normal and it never really does. The fear is suppressed but never truly goes away. Iām really looking forward to The Shadow of the Wind. Itās loved by so many!

I’m so happy to hear that you’re still cancer free!
This month is kind of a catch up for me. I got a lot of sequels and new releases in October but I wasn’t able to read them because of the series I did. But now that November has officially started, I can start on my catch up list!
It’s a little amusing because on my TBR list is āThrone of Glassā šš I’m excited to start the series and I really hope I enjoy it as much as a lot of others do!

The Shadow of the Wind was a good one and same with The Lightning Thief! Very different style of book but both pretty good.

I’m so glad to here that you are still cancer free! As someone who has a parent that has a lot of stressful health issues/scares frequently, I was keeping you in my thoughts, as I know that things like that are so terrifying.
I must have been living under a rock since I hadn’t heard that Markus Zusak released a new book! I have yet to read “The Book Theif”, but hope to really soon. If I enjoy that one, I will for sure pick up his new book! Love your TBR for this month!!

Thanks! Itās definitely hard.
Not living under a rock lol. It was just a really quiet release. Not too many people knew or were talking about it, which I thought was strange because SO many people love his writing!

I signed up for the SciFiMonth challenge, so will be attempting 5 much smaller reads than your haul of books! Yikes. Especially as I’m also trying to write 50k too, which isn’t happening while I’m blogging. lol

Good luck with your TBR. I have a huge TBR planned for November but I still might try and squeeze in some non-fiction reads. I've heard good things about Scrappy Little Nobody so I can't wait to see what you think!

Kingdom of Ash definitely is a bit of a monster when it comes to the amount of pages but I flew through it, haha. Couldn't put it down, as I expected from Maas anyway. š

IT GETS BETTER.
And way heart-breaking. I keep warning about that. Don’t care if I say it twenty times to one person either; just KEEP THOSE TISSUES NEAR. Especially if you tend to easily cry while reading anyway. :’)
