The Would You Rather Book Tag

My plan was to stay away from tags and awards for a while…… that was until I was tagged in this original tag created by Sarah, creative mind behind the blog Between The Pages. My first thought was “You are killing me with these questions!” I mean, well, you’ll see what I mean. These questions made me sit and think long and hard. My only conclusion was – do I really have to choose?? LOL But if I’m forced to pick one answer to these questions, then this is what I would do…….

HAVE UNLIMITED MONEY FOR EBOOKS, OR A $5000 BARNES AND NOBLE GIFT CARD?

Well, I’m not a fan of ebooks. I do read them but rarely. I love having them available if I have a spare few minutes to read and don’t have a physical book near me, but physical books can’t be beat! The feel, the smell, the look – so I would choose the gift card! (But it would have to be for Chapters Indigo since I live in Canada and don’t have B&N here!)

MEET ANY DECEASED POET OR J.K. ROWLING?

Ahem….. this is the only easy one…. Queen Rowling please!! I don’t even know what I would do if I could meet her. Probably stutter like a crazed person then faint at her feet leaving me unconscious and unable to actually speak to her. Or I would totally freak out and security would have to be called. Then I would end up with a restraining order or something and it would just be a mess……. Or maybe we would be besties…….. a girl can dream.

WRITE THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS BOOK, OR VISIT THE WORLD OF YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK FOR A DAY?

Hmmmmm. I would love to write a famous book. To be able to create something that touches and inspires readers is an absolute dream. There are so many authors that I adore and have taught me things, inspired me, and changed my life. If I was able to do that for someone else – goosebumps! It would be amazing. BUT – if I was able to hang out at Hogwarts for a whole day with a side trip to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade (hello, floo powder!) that would be an experience I would give my right arm for! So I guess I would like to visit a world!

CHOOSE ______ OR ______ ? (INSERT CHARACTERS FROM YOUR FAVOURITE FICTIONAL LOVE TRIANGLE?

Yet another hard one. I’m not generally a fan of the love triangle. And I’m usually fine with the one they end up choosing in the end. But I guess I will say that I would have loved to have seen Aelin with Prince Dorian. I’m happy with who she ended up with (I won’t specify just in case you haven’t read this series yet!) but she would have made a great pairing with Dorian. I think that she really could have helped him come out of his shell more and understand his powers. She could have given him strength to stand up to his father, take action for his people, and stand up for himself. He was so passive for so long and he could have been a great character if he had someone with her impressive strength to give him that extra push. But who he’s with (or is possibly with – it’s confusing!) now is more than capable of just that!!

EXPERIENCE HOGWARTS IN A VERY REALISTIC AND ACCURATE VIRTUAL REALITY OR TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD FOR A YEAR AT NO COST?

This is the one that I had the most difficulty with! I am not ashamed of my love for Harry Potter and everything it entails. I LOVE this world so much that it’s hard to put it into words. So being able to experience it would be so amazing. But, as much as I would like to experience that world, I would love to see the world I live in first. I have a college diploma in Travel and Tourism and have learned as much as I could about the countries in the world. It would be so amazing to see some of these places first hand. The Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu, Easter Island, Fiji, Australia, Florence, Ireland, Isreal, China….. I could go on forever. A year still wouldn’t give me time to see everything but it’s more than I’m able to see now – I just can’t afford to travel 😦
