m-ARC-h tbr…

Yes, the mixed upper and lower case letters on this title was fully intentional. Let me tell you – March is the month of the ARC! I don’t typically set a TBR for myself because I rarely stick to them. I’m a total mood reader and choose my next read based on how i’m feeling. But this month, basically the only thing I’ll be reading are early releases because there are JUST. SO. MANY. OF. THEM! I swear, the publishing industry got together and said “Let’s publish everything we have in March!” Not complaining though! Release away because we can never have too many books!

ALL MY RAGE BY SABAA TAHIR – PUBLISHES MARCH 1ST

The first book i’ll be reading is All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir. If the name sounds familiar, she’s the author of the Ember In The Ashes fantasy series, which I absolutely loved! This one is completely different though. We follow two teenagers who are immigrants to the states and both dealing with loss. Sal lost his mother, his father is an alcoholic, and he’s struggling to take care of the motel his parents own. Noor is living with her Uncle after the death of her parents and feels like she doesn’t have a choice in her future. They used to be the best of friends until they had a fight that changed it all. From what I’ve read of this one so far I can honestly say that Sabaa Tahir could write anything at all and suck me in completely!

P.S. I HATE YOU BY SOPHIE RANALD – PUBLISHES MARCH 3RD

This sounds like it’s going to end up cute and happy or sad and broken. Regardless it sounds like it could be quite the emotional roller coaster of a ride! We have a married couple who used to have it all. Vacations in Paris, cooking nearly naked; they were happy. Now all they have are secrets and a stale sex life. In an attempt to rekindle their relationship, Abbie initiates Operation Memory Lane – an adventure of reliving their happiest memories. I love me a good second chance romance!!

BLOOD SCION BY DEBORAH FALAYE – PUBLISHES MARCH 8TH

I got the chance to hear the author talk about this one for a few minutes and her passion when she talks about this book can be felt from miles away! This is inspired by Yoruba-Nigerian mythology and sounds like an incredible story of a bad ass female! Sloane is 15 years old and is forced to hide her Scion powers because, if anyone found out, it would mean her death. But when she’s forced into the army, she decides that she can take the training and get revenge from the inside. Taking this chance also puts her at risk of becoming the monster she hates. This sounds fabulous!

IN A NEW YORK MINUTE BY KATE SPENCER – PUBLISHES MARCH 15TH

As soon as I read the synopsis of this one I knew I HAD to read it! We have a women in New York City who’s having one hell of a rough day. She gets fired and her skirt rips on the subway, flashing the surrounding public. But a man comes to her rescue with his Gucci jacket and saves the day. They never thought they would see each other again – it’s New York with millions of people and they couldn’t be more different. But their encounter is spread across social media and they keep bumping into each other. Sometimes fate has a wicked sense of humour… I can’t wait for this one!

DARK STARS, NEW TALES OF DARKEST HORROR – PUBLISHES MARCH 22ND

Short stories aren’t usually my thing but, when it comes to horror, I want them all! This one includes 12 stories from authors like Josh Malerman, Caroline Kepnes, Stephen Graham Jones, and a few more. Since this is a compilation of short stories, there obviously isn’t a synopsis to tell you about. All I know is that one of my favourite horror authors, Paul Tremblay, said that these are scary as hell. I hope you’re right, sir!

Of course that won’t be all that I’m reading in March… or at least I hope not anyway. Gallant by V.E. Schwab comes out on March 1st and I’ve had that thing pre-ordered since November lol. Hearing her talk during a publisher event blew me away. Even when she’s speaking casually she manages to choose the most interesting and unique words and ways of expression. I’ve heard that there are quite a few illustrations in this book that tie into the story itself which I always LOVE! I just hope that I can make my way through these ARC’s first so I can get to it!

What books are on your March TBR? Any new releases that you’re especially excited for?

Until next time, happy reading!

  1. Oooh, great TBR! I hope you love all of them! I’m reading Gallant right now and loving it so much. I also have an eARC of Dark Stars and an audio review copy of All My Rage, and I’m really excited to read them both!
