Top 10 Books Of 2020!!

It’s finally that time! Time to talk about our favourite books of the year! This might be better than Christmas…… maybe…….

This was a VERY different reading year for me. I struggled through the most persistent reading slump i’ve ever experienced. I’ve had them last a few weeks before but this was MONTHS! Dealing with the changes of 2020 had my mental health spinning and I just couldn’t focus on books no matter how hard I tried.

Even though I read less than usual, I still read some SERIOUSLY AMAZING books this year! I read a book in January that I swore would be the number one book, only to have it knocked down a peg by a book about a band of old men….. And a V.E. Schwaub book made it’s way into my top 3….. WHAT?!?! If you’ve followed me and my reading for any length of time, you may be as shocked as I am!

Instead of doing a blog post like I normally do for this list, this year I’ve decided to just film a video. As you know, this year I started my YouTube channel and it’s been a bit rocky. I love doing it but I’m not quite comfortable in front of the camera yet. But this video is one that I’m actually really proud of! It’s long……. but there was so much to talk about!!

What books made your top 10 this year?? These top 10 lists are basically where I get all of my recommendations so throw them at me!!!

I hope that 2021 treats us all better. I also hope for nothing but happiness and health for everyone. We all know that this year was unexpected in almost every way possible, but if you’re happy and healthy, nothing else matters! Stay safe!

Until next time, happy reading!

Happy New Year, Shanah. I find a lot of books through WordPress too – it’s great! My current favourites are “Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell, “Redhead by the Side of the Road” by Anne Tyler, and “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro. All the best to you for 2021.

    1. I’ve been dying to get to Ishiguro!! I keep putting their books on my wish list and then put them aside for others. Maybe 2021 will be the year? 😂
