I wasn’t even going to post this. It’s really hard to make a TBR list when you’re a mood reader in a time like this. The anxiety of the world falling apart really messes with the mood lol. I decided that this month needs to be exciting! Full of adventure, fun, and escape! And maybe even a few rereads?? The OFF THE GRID READATHON is happening the weekend of April 17th and I will have a separate TBR for that 🙂 I’m really excited for it and already have a few plans! But you won’t hear about that until closer to the readathon. I’m keeping this TBR light because, realistically, I change my mind every day. Here it goes anyway….
The first two books i’ll mention are one’s I’ve already started and just need to finish. I started THE REPUBLIC OF THIEVES by Scott Lynch about a month ago and got about halfway through. It’s not that I wasn’t enjoying it because I was! I had to set it aside to read an ARC and then never went back to it. So I’ll be finishing this for sure! I’m also in the last few hundred pages of HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD by Sarah J Maas and hope to finish it within the next few days. Everyone that’s finished it already has said “I’m not okay” after they finish it…… I’m scared and excited!
I hope to get back into fantasy with KINGS OF THE WYLD by Nicholas Eames. This just looks and sounds like so much fun! A “band” of old, washed up, misfit men coming back together for a new adventure? Ok then! I haven’t heard a single bad word about this one and everyone says it’s just a fun time. That’s what I need!
When I’m in the mood for something dark and creepy, I have INTO THE DROWNING DEEP by Mira Grant on standby! I’ve wanted to read this one for a long time now and keep forgetting about it…… it’s hiding in the depths of my kindle that I keep forgetting I own….. honestly I need to get off my ass and actually read the books I hoard on there… Anyone else have this problem?
I have a few others that I plan to read this month but I’ll be mentioning those in my TBR for the Off The Grid Readathon! If you’re looking for a way to temporarily forget about the dumpster fire that is this stupid virus, join me! I fully plan to shut off my phone for 3 whole days and just read. It encourages isolation and social distancing so it’s good for your health 🙂
Until next time, happy reading!
