We lost an hour of sleep – I blame that for my shitty mood right now lol. This week was a roller coaster. Some really amazing things happened (which I can’t talk about quite yet) and some really crappy things happened. A lot is up in the air right now. Not to mention it was a week filled with so much work…… productive and amazing, yet tiring. Basically, what I’m saying is that I want to tell you everything – but I can’t! And I know that makes you want to know more. Soon – soon. Thankfully through all the chaos this week, I finished a book! And it was just what I needed!
BOOKS I FINISHED:
Truth Or Beard by Penny Reid was the perfect book for what I needed at the moment. This had me laughing, swooning, and forgetting about the chaos of my life. I loved the characters SO much! I wish that the Winston brothers were real people. They sound like just the group I want to hang out with! A friend of mine has been telling me to read this book for so long (yes Robin, I loved it! But you already knew that lol) and I’m glad that I picked this up when my life needed a pick me up. It was perfect! Review to come soon 🙂
BOOKS I’M CURRENTLY READING:
The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch shows up for the third week in a row…… I’m a failure lol! This book is amazing – don’t get me wrong! I’m loving it just as much as the first and second books. But it’s slowing down a bit and my chaotic life won’t let me focus on it the way that I should be. I don’t think I’m in the right head space for it right now. I plan to chip away at it but my brain can’t dedicate 100% of my focus on it right now.
So, I hope to take a break from it and start The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Magic, islands, a possible romance….. yup. Sounds good to me! Not to mention it was blurbed by Seanan McGuire as being “almost perfect”…. yes please! I haven’t looked into any reviews on this one yet, and haven’t really read the whole synopsis – I wanted to go in as blindly as possible and go along for the ride.
OTHER BOOKISH NEWS:
TOP 5 TUESDAY:
This week was the beginning of the Authors A-Z series! The first set of letters was Authors A to E – I honestly expected this to be really easy but there were a few that were really difficult! You can choose between using the first names or last names and I vowed to stick with last names for this series. Next week are letters F, G, H, I, and J 🙂
There are a few more things I want to mention but I can’t just yet! It’s killing me! I have to get the details all set before I talk about it. It’s not really book related though…. but it’s still super exciting!! More to come hopefully next week!
Speaking of next week – it’s looking VERY busy. I bake at a restaurant on the side and I started a cupcake promotion for preorders of cupcakes for March break…. as if I had time for that lol. But I love doing exciting things for kids so I can’t wait! March break is the week after which is going to cut down on my reading even more. I really hope that I can step up my reading game or else this months wrap up is going to be really short….. pray for me Argentina!
Until next time, happy reading!
