Well shit. I stumbled, fell, and bought some books. OOPS! After my epic haul of over 20 books in December, this haul shouldn’t even be happening. I spent more than enough in December! In my defence though – none of that money was my own! It was all Christmas money and gift cards. I might have hauled over 20 books but it didn’t hurt my wallet. Guilt free book buying?? I think so! This month 5 new books made their way to my shelves. One was a gift, three were on sale, and one was full price and absolutely necessary lol
I’ll start off with the one you’ve probably already seen that i’m reading, and that’s Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higgenbotham. After spending literally months watching everything to do with Chernobyl and talking about it constantly, my husband picked this book up for me to help fuel my obsession! Next we have The Shadow Saint by Gareth Hanrahan…. this was the book I was saying is necessary! After finishing The Gutter Prayer and experiencing a splitting book hangover, I knew I needed this one in my hands to start ASAP. I will be reading it really soon!
These last three books are the ones I mentioned that were on sale. The sale was SO good that I would be a total dumb ass to pass up! First is The Bone Ships by RJ Barker. I’ve seen this book everywhere lately! I got the ebook instead of a physical copy….. I tend to be an ebook hoarder and then never read them (no point in denying it) so I have no clue when i’ll get to it. The next two books 5 and 6 of the Mistborn series, Shadows of Self and The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson. Chapters Indigo had the hardcovers on sale for 7$…… retail price is $34.99…. see what I mean? I couldn’t pass that up! I don’t have book 4 in the series, so i’ll need to pick that one up!
This is where I would probably, once again, justify making more book purchases. But, as we’re all bookworms here, I’m sure you understand! Even though I reorganized my bookshelves, I’m out of space on my TBR designated shelves…… I think I need to stop for a while…….. or slow down at least! LOL!
Until next time, happy reading!
