Dear Santa, I Would Like These 5 Books!

8 MORE SLEEPS ‘TILL CHRISTMAS!!!!! I’m not excited at all…….. Actually, as a parent, you’re no longer excited about what YOU’RE going to get – you’re more excited to see your kids faces and reactions! There’s nothing better than that in this entire world 🙂 On the other hand though, if I knew that these 5 books would be waiting under the tree…. I might actually be excited for myself lol! Here are the top 5 books I hope Santa brings me this year:

THE FIFTH SEASON by N.K. Jemisin

I want this book for so many reasons! Number one – no one can stop talking about this series!! I think that the last book was published in 2017 but there is still non stop hype. I think that the only bad thing that i’ve heard about it is that it’s a little confusing but SOOOO worth it! I also want it in the bind up of the whole trilogy – it’s in this massive floppy paperback that is so satisfying and aesthetically pleasing…… sigh!

STARLIGHT by Brandon Sanderson

Do I really need to explain why I want this one?? It’s Brandon Sanderson and the sequel to a book that takes place on a different planet where there are pilots and a talking alien space ship. Need this in my life!!! Also, I have to just comment quickly – this cover is so much better than the first one lol

CHILDREN OF VIRTUE AND VENGEANCE by Tomi Adeyemi

Yet another book that I don’t think I need to explain why I want Santa to bring it to me….. the first book was so damn good and I love her writing style! I really miss the world and the characters….. and i’m also dying to see if my theories are right lol

WANDERERS by Chuck Wendig

The premise of this one sounds amazing, and i’ve heard nothing but good things about this author, but…….. I might also want it for another reason…… and it’s weird……. The main character shares my name…….. lol!! I’ve never read another book where the main character had the same name as me! It’s not the exact spelling (my name is Shanah and the characters name is Shana) but still. It’s going to be a weird experience lol.

TILLY AND THE LOST FAIRYTALES by Anna James

I read the first book in this series last year for a readathon and finished it in just about an hour. I couldn’t put it down! The atmosphere was great and, being a middle grade, it was a quick read. I just love the idea of being able to travel into the books you read!! I need that super power!

Normally I would have the topics for the next month listed above.
