Weekly Wrap Up – Dec 2 – 8

If I was to choose a word to explain this week it would have to be TWO words actually. Both of them start with P. Productive and Pain. Productive because I can’t believe how much me and my husband accomplished this week for our business! It’s insane! Yes, it meant 12-16 hour days, but we are ahead of where we should be and I’m alright with that! The other work, Pain, is to describe what i’ve been feeling. I’ve got inflammation that can’t be explained and I’ve never felt pain like this without a physical trauma to cause it. I spent the beginning of the week unable to move without wincing or crying. I gave up and called the doctor, got some pain meds, and an appointment for a couple days from now. I’ve never in my life been so thankful for pain meds! Because of them I was able to finish the work week strong! Hopefully answers will follow soon 🙂

Now onto my reading life (which is why you’re here!). I didn’t finish any books this week but I’m ok with that actually. The fact that I read anything at all is a miracle! I’m over halfway through TWO books and am on track to finish them both within the next day or two 🙂

The first book I’ve got going is CHRISTMAS AT CEDARWOOD LODGE by Rebecca Raisin. I’m really enjoying it but it didn’t start off as Christmasy as I hoped. The main character moved to her hometown as a way to escape drama that happened in New York and is renovating a lodge. It took a while to get to the Christmas time frame but it’s adorable none the less.

The second book I started is THE STARLESS SEA by Erin Morgenstern……….. I am soooooooo freaking obsessed with this book!!!!!!!! I have a feeling that this one might end up near the top of my favourites for 2019. I also have a feeling that my review for this book will be a novel on its own. I’m not even kidding! I really hope that this book ends strongly and ties it all up in a non confusing way. If it does then this book might even be in my top favourite books of all time….

I loved this weeks topic so much!!! It was the Top 5 surprising reads of 2019. It was so interesting seeing all the books that caught you off guard and made you fall in love! Unfortunately due to the pain I was in that day, I was really late adding a few of you to the list. I couldn’t function anymore at that point. I hope that won’t happen again. Next week is the second last topic of 2019 and that is the Top 5 books you didn’t get to in 2019…. I have a feeling this list is gunna hurt!

That’s all for this week folks. Not a whole lot happening this week unless it was work. Next week will be much of the same. I also have to find a way to finish my Christmas shopping in there somewhere……… I need a clone…… or an army of Oompa Loompa’s…… just send help! LOL!

Until next time, happy reading!

Shanah, have you asked the doctors if you are not suffering from fibromyalgia? I will leave a link here, have a peek and see if it fits your symptoms … https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/fibromyalgia/symptoms-causes/syc-20354780

    1. I’m going to bring it up to the doctor today. I know it’s hard to diagnose. I just hope they take me seriously. My husband will make sure of that though 😂

  3. I really want to get a copy of The Starless Sea!!
