Bookshelf Tour Series – Part 7

Another week, another shelf! This is an exciting week for the series as it’s the first time I’ll be showing my horror/mystery/thriller books! I don’t read much of the genre as I really struggle to find books that match my reading tastes. I haven’t loved ALL of these but there sure are a few gems! If you’re new to the series, here’s how it works: I show you a picture of my shelves and list the book title, author and star rating, and any books where i’ve written a review it will be linked (I believe the linked titles will show up with an underline). Links to all previous posts will be listed below. Feast your eyes on the creepy books!

Whew! I didn’t realize just how many books were on this shelf until I had to list them all! Looking back at these titles there are a few that I might have rated higher now that I’m recollecting what they were about. Some stuck with me more so than others (like No Exit – I swore I rated that one 5 stars because I REALLY liked that one!!). It’s rare for me to give a book in this genre a 5 star rating. I struggle so much to find horror and thriller novels that I love. So if you have any recommendations after seeing my ratings – please let me know!!

I would honestly recommend almost everything else by Joe Hill! I haven’t read N0S4A2 yet, and I didn’t really like Heart-Shaped Box, but Horns is such a (very) weird, fun time, Full Throttle just came out and was fantastic, Strange Weather is great for the fall atmosphere that sometimes gets a little creepy and odd, and if you’re into graphic novels, Locke & Key is absolutely fantastic!
