Since I took a few days off from blogging last week due to a stupid cold, I’m playing catch up on all the things I wanted to talk about! I considered not doing a haul or TBR but there were too many books that I’m BEYOND EXCITED for!!! I’ve got a lot to talk about so let’s dive in!
SEPTEMBER BOOK HAUL:
The first two books I want to talk about are also two of my favourite covers of 2019!! Just look at them! Gideon The Ninth by Tamsin Muir also has black sprayed edges and it’s glorious! This book has me written all over it. It sounds dark, deadly, magical and hilarious! I haven’t seen too many reviews for it yet but I want to go into this with no expectations. The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E Harrow has been on my radar for months! Everyone that’s read this so far have been freaking out about their love for it! Not gunna lie, it kind of reminds me in premise of Every Heart A Doorway…… which makes me need this in my life!! I can’t wait to get to these two!
The last 3 books I got this month were ARC’s from publishers. I’ve already read The Grace Year by Kim Liggett and it was OUTSTANDING!! I can’t wait for people to read this so I can talk to you about it!! My review is coming on Tuesday October 1st as a part of a blog tour and it might be a million words long. It was just SO GOOD! The Tenth Girl by Sara Faring is another one i’ve already read and it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. My thoughts about it are very conflicting. Some parts were great while others (especially the ending) aren’t so great. My review is coming soon. Lastly is Trapeze by Leigh Ansell.….. that cover! Ah its’s so beautiful! I’m a total sucker for anything with a circus theme so this will be right up my alley!
As I’ve mentioned before, October will be insane. We have a wedding for my brother in law, a vacation to Vegas, my dad is retiring (in which we are planning TWO parties), and a few other things. Even though I’m in the mood to read ALL the books, I don’t know if I’ll find the time. But maybe, since I’m so excited to read, it will make me use my time wisely? I hope so! There’s also the Off The Grid Readathon so that will help! I hope so…… because I’ve got big plans and some long books to read! I’ll keep this post short and just add pictures of all the books I plan to read:
See what I mean? I’m being a bit too ambitious for October but, like I said, I want to read all the books! What do you plan on reading in October??
Until next time, happy reading!
