Hi there! And welcome to my first ever bookshelf tour series! This is something i’ve wanted to do on the blog for SO LONG but haven’t figured out a way to do it. Some of my favourite BookTube videos are bookshelf tours. No matter how long the video is, i’ll devour it from start to finish. I love them for so many reasons, but three main reasons are this:
- I’m nosy lol!
- It gives me an even clearer picture of the reading tastes of a person that I’m following.
- If my reading tastes match theirs, there are a TON of books I can look into!
So, as much as I’m doing this for me, I’m mainly doing this for my fellow readers. I hope that through this series, I can help at least one person with similar reading tastes to find their next great read 🙂
Here’s how this will work – I will include a picture of just one of my shelves (you’ll have to wait until the end to see the whole picture of my shelves!) and I will list all of the titles and authors on that shelf, along with the star rating I gave the book. A lot of these I read before I started the blog, so there won’t be a review for every book. All of the titles that actually have a review will be linked for you to see more. If there is ever a book that you want to know my thoughts, you can check out my Goodreads account (let’s be friends 🙂 ) or comment asking what I thought of it and I would be more than happy to discuss it with you and see if it’s a book you would enjoy! Also, at the end of every post, I will have links to all parts of this series so it’s easier for you to navigate. The books shown in this series are all books that i’ve read – there will be no TBR books shown. If you want to know what’s on my TBR shelves, I may extend the series to show those. I organize my books by genre but I’m not too strict about it (my fantasy and sci-fi are usually mixed together, etc.). I also do have pop figures and trinkets on my shelves but removed most of them so the spines are clearly visible. And, lastly, if there is a series on my shelf, I will list them in order of publication and NOT in the order they appear on my shelf 🙂
Now that the lengthy intro is over and you have all the information you need, let’s get to the books!! This week I have 2 shelves. I know I literally JUST said that there will be no TBR books, but there are actually a few on my historical fiction shelf because I had nowhere else to place them. And the second shelf is dedicated to just one series…… you’ll see in just a second lol.

SHELF #2 – THE HARRY POTTER SHELF!
And here lies the holy grail of my shelves – the Harry Potter shelf! This is where all of my editions live together – along with a bunch of pop figures, a wand, the Trivial Pursuit game, an advanced potions notebook, and a few of the candies and chocolates that have been made throughout the years – unopened of course! I would list them all here but I’m sure you know what these are. I’ve got the full series in the original covers, a few different anniversary editions, and the three current illustrated editions. This shelf just makes me smile! I preordered the advent calendar and I can’t wait for it to come in!!!
There it is! The first in the bookshelf tour series. I’m sorry for the lengthy intro but I hope that it might clear up some questions you may have. I hope that this is easy to read and navigate. If you have any suggestions for the format, please let me know! I left spaces between all the titles so they were easier to read. Hope you enjoyed!
Until next time, happy reading!
This is great! I’m nosy too so I love bookshelf tours. You’re so much more organized than me. I really should sort my shelves my genre!
P. S. Love that your shelves are yellow. So pretty!
