Weekly Wrap Up – July 15 – 21

Does anyone else have this happen? You finish up a super successful readathon, where you managed to finish 3 books in 3 days, and you’re still super motivated to read ALL the books, but then you end up reading nothing? lol. I swear, right after a readathon I stop reading because I think it’s ok…… I’ve already read a ton. Please tell me it’s not just me lol! Granted, this week was insane work wise. My husband was on IV antibiotics all last week so this week was catch up time. And catch up we did! Orders were flying out the door and we’re now all caught up. Hopefully that means this week there will be a lot of reading!

BOOKS I FINISHED THIS WEEK:

I finally got the chance to finish Middlegame by Seanan McGuire! Her writing……. she’s officially landed the spot as my favourite female author! I liked this book a lot, and for reasons I never expected! It was a little hard to understand…. there was some super science shit that went WAY over my head! And it was a little long. But, her character development is unparalleled and the story was so intriguing! Review to come soon

BOOKS I’M CURRENTLY READING:

I haven’t actually started this one yet, but this will be the first book that I pick up for the Reading Rush Readathon. I hope to read 4 books for the readathon (see my full TBR HERE) and this will be the first one that I start with. I have really high hopes for this! I like his writing style, and this one seems super fast paced and interesting!

TOP 5 TUESDAY:

I’m loving the alphabet series!! This week were titles that start with the letters K-L-M-N-O and your lists were fantastic! Next week are the letters P-Q-R-S-T….. and I think that unless you read a lot of fantasy then Q might be a hard one….. still nowhere near as hard as some of next weeks letters though lol

I COMPLETED MY GOODREADS GOAL!

Ok, I knew I was going to hit my goal, but I didn’t know that I would hit it in July! I set my goal to 52 books which I knew would be easy to reach. I figured that if I set my goal to one a week, then I wouldn’t feel a lot of pressure. And, most weeks, I’ve been reading 2 or more a week! It’s been so nice to read without pressure… and the rest of the year will be smooth sailing!

That was my week! Productive with work and determined to read. I feel like I’m FINALLY back 100%! I hope you all had a fantastic week!
