Top 5 Books That Start With K-L-M-N-O

Happy Top 5 Tuesday everyone!! This is week 2 of July’s “themed” topics where we will be making lists of books that start with corresponding letters. Each week, we will have 5 letters and you will list one book for each letter.

Same thing as last week, i’m using this opportunity to talk about some books that I don’t get to very often. There are so many books that I really enjoyed but I always mention the all time favourites first! So, if there was an all time favourite that started with a certain letter, I will choose something else just to give another book some time in the spotlight. This weeks letters are K-L-M-N-O. Here we go 🙂

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in July – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!

A thousand splendid suns

K – THE KITE RUNNER by Khaled Hosseini
I feel like I read The Kite Runner ages ago, but the imprint of it still remains. This book left such an emotional impact on my heart that I don’t think I’ll be forgetting about this one any time soon!

Lets go swimming on doomsday

L – LET’S GO SWIMMING ON DOOMSDAY by Natalie C Anderson
This is a book that came out of left field and knocked me on my ass. It was such a good book! I realize that it deals with a difficult topic. A young boy ends up being a suicide bomber. But there’s so much more to it than that. What his childhood was like, what events lead up to that moment, and the thoughts that were going through his head as this all played out. I absolutely loved it! Her writing is stellar! Why has no one else read this??

My lady Jane

M – MY LADY JANE by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows
I refused to read this book for the longest time. All I knew was that it was a historical fiction that people were calling funny as hell and there was a man that turned into a horse. It sounded far too weird for me! And I don’t usually like magical realism…… mix that with historical fiction and it just sounded WRONG! But – it was SO RIGHT! It was absolutely hilarious and the man-horse just worked….. trust me lol.

Nocturna

N – NOCTURNA by Maya Motayne
This was such an interesting debut! I absolutely LOVE her writing style. It was one of those books that I could tell right from the first page that I was going to love it! The magic was interesting, the setting was stunning, and the plot was fast paced. I’m patiently waiting for the sequel……. not patiently at all lol!

Outlander

O – OUTLANDER by Diana Gabaldon
Oh Outlander…. how you make my heart swoon! I was terrified by the size of this book but DAMN! It really is as good as everyone says it is! I couldn’t possibly love these characters any more than I do. Jamie….. perfection!! I felt like I was right there, in the world, alongside the characters. This is the type of book that you feel in your bones and in your heart. I really need to get to the (gigantic) sequel soon!!!
