Top 5 Books That Start With F-G-H-I-J

Happy Top 5 Tuesday everyone!! This is week 2 of July’s “themed” topics where we will be making lists of books that start with corresponding letters. Each week, we will have 5 letters and you will list one book for each letter.

Same thing as last week, i’m using this opportunity to talk about some books that I don’t get to very often. There are so many books that I really enjoyed but I always mention the all time favourites first! So, if there was an all time favourite that started with a certain letter, I will choose something else just to give another book some time in the spotlight. This weeks letters are F-G-H-I-J. Here we go 🙂

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in July – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!

The Fireman

F – THE FIREMAN by Joe Hill
If you’re as clueless as I am, then what I’m about to say will be a surprise. But did you know that Joe Hill is Stephen King’s son?? When I questioned this, the person who told me just laughed and told me to look at his author photo…. he is indeed Stephen King’s son lol. And this book fits his fathers son in a very unique way! Also unique…. literally the entire story! There was survival, an epidemic, a cult…. and way more than I could fit into this description. Long, but worth it!!

The girl in 6E

G – THE GIRL IN 6E by A.R. Torre
This one was predictable but still so interesting! A girl has murderous tendencies so she locked herself in her apartment. But girls gotta make money to survive somehow….. so she becomes one of the most successful cam girls in the US. Providing sexual favours over the internet has made her essentially a millionaire with no way to spend it. But when she is forced to actually talk face to face with another human after a little girl goes missing, she starts to wonder if she can really be in public again.

Honor among thieves

H – HONOR AMONG THIEVES by Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre
This book was a little bit unexpected! When I was in the process of reading this for the first time, there were a few things that bothered me. But, as the book went along, it turned into something unexpected! I haven’t really stopped worrying about a few of the characters – need the sequel ASAP

Invictus

I – INVICiTUS by Ryan Graudin
Ryan Graudin is one of my all time favourite authors. She writes historical fiction with a twist that you’ll never expect. In this one, we have teams that have the ability to time travel and will go back to important times in history to record the events…… See what I mean by interesting!? They mustn’t speak to anyone, or change the natural course of time….

Jade city

J – JADE CITY by Fonda Lee
I feel like adding this one to the list was cheating a little bit….. I mean, I’m still in the middle of reading it! But, it’s still unlike anything I’ve ever read. This is dence as hell but stets up a story that it almost unparalleled. Every little detail comes together for a story you’ll never forget. I’m so close to finishing… so close!

The lists for last week were INCREDIBLE!!! Keep up the good work! As always, today will be crazy so it might take me some time to update the list. My husband has been diagnosed with an infection and is on an IV for steroids and antibiotics for the next few days. Nurses are short so they’re coming today with a medication delivery and an IV pump and I have to be the one to do it for him…..I feel so bad for him!!!!! But damn today will be crazy!!!

Until next time, happy reading!

  6. Great choices! I had such a hard time with J, but luckily found one I’ve read. I wrote down my whole list for the month and was able to find a book I’ve read from every letter except X.
