Weekly Wrap Up – May 27 – June 2

Some weeks crawl by and take forever. Then, there are weeks like this, where you blink and it’s over! This was one of the happiest and most productive weeks I’ve had in a while! I look back at everything that happened in the last 7 days and I wonder how I had time to read lol. Thing is – when you’re obsessed with a book – you make time! The motivation to read is back and stronger than ever!

BOOKS I FINISHED THIS WEEK:

The first book I finished this week was Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston (Click here for the full review). This one I rated 5 stars…… and I would have given it 500 if there were that many stars to give! This book was so freaking good! I already want to reread it so badly….. everyone needs to read this book! The hype is real folks!

The second book I read was When We Were Lost by Kevin Wignall. Sadly I gave this one 2 stars and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I wanted one thing (and I felt the synopsis promised me something), and this book gave me another. I felt like this was the polar opposite of my reading tastes. Review is coming soon.

And, lastly, we have Teeth In The Mist by Dawn Kurtagich….. this book blew away all of my expectations! I hoped that it would be a story about ghosts and darkness but…….. holy hell! I wasn’t prepared for how dark this book would ACTUALLY be! And I loved every single minute of it! It’s a really hard book to review though, due to its format and plot, so it’s going to take me a little bit to put my thoughts together for this one. But if you’re a horror lover…. this is a must read!!

BOOKS I’M CURRENTLY READING:

I’ve held off long enough but I can’t hold off any more…. Finale by Stephanie Garber is happening! I feel like the Caraval trilogy is the first seriously hyped trilogy since I’ve been a part of the book community. The first book released right as I started my blog and it was everywhere! I’m sad that it’s ending. It’s held a special place in my heart. The next book I hope to get to is When The Ground is Hard by Malla Nunn. All I know is that two people come together over a shard copy of a book….. all I need to know to be interested!

TOP 5 TUESDAY:

This week’s topic was all about your Top 5 Summer Reads – and wow your lists were amazing! Each and every list made me so excited to get to sit by the pool or by the fire and read while listening to crickets! This week brings us to our first of our June topics! And the first one is Top 5 Debut Novels! I have no idea how I’ll narrow it down to just 5! There have been SO MANY amazing debuts over the last few years 🙂

HAUL AND WRAP UP!

My favourite time of every month are hauls and wrap up’s! I haven’t posted my TBR yet, that’s coming this week. My book haul this month was a big one! May is always a time for big book hauls since it’s my birthday month. This time around there was a huge difference in the genres and I couldn’t be more excited!!!

So that about covers this week! There’s quite a few different things i’ve got planned for the coming months but I’m not ready to announce them yet. I feel like I’ve been swimming in ARC’s lately and those are obviously priority. As soon as I make it through most of those I can make plans for the other things! I hope you all had an amazing week! I know a lot of you have been struggling with slumps as well lately. I hope that you get your motivation back soon too!
