Top 5 Magical Creatures!

Happy Top 5 Tuesday everyone! This weeks topic has an extra special place in my heart. And that is – MAGICAL CREATURES! I don’t know what it is but, if a book has a magical creature or animal, I immediately attach myself to them. They end up always being my favourite part of the story! Authors write them in such a memorable way, and always with such character and personality. Here are 5 of my favourites:

MR KINDLY (Shadow Daemon)

Hands down – Mr Kindly is my number one favourite magical creature of all time! Mr Kindly is a shadow cat. A Daemon to be exact. He feeds off Mia’s fear and has helped save her life more times than I can count. Though the series isn’t over yet, we still don’t know exactly ALL the details about Mr Kindly….. and I can’t wait to find out!

ABRAXOS (Wyvern)

Abraxos is the epitome of the underdog. He was meant to be a bait Wyvern. He is smaller than the rest of his kind so he was used as bait to other wyverns and wore many scars from numerous attacks over the years. Though he’s small, he proved to be just as strong and fierce as his larger companions.

OBERON (Dog)

I might be cheating a little with this one. Oberon is a dog. And as far as I remember, he’s just a normal dog. It’s the fact that his owner is an ancient Druid that can speak to him that’s magic! The personality of this dog is over the top – he’s freaking hilarious! And absolutely obsessed with poodles and sausages. I hear his voice as the voice as Scooby Doo which makes it even funnier!

DOBBY (House Elf)

Would it really be a top 5 list of magical creatures if there wasn’t a Harry Potter character on the list? The answer is no. So, the creature that I need to put on the top of that list is the house elf Dobby. If you’ve read the books or seen the movies, you can’t help but fall in love with Dobby! He can be a total pain in the ass sometimes, but he has a heart of gold. Everything he’s ever done was done out of love and kindness!

AIDAN (AI – Artificial Intelligence)

Cheating again here. No, Aidan isn’t magical. He’s actually an artificial intelligence in a ship. An AI that somehow manages to have a personality and has the ability to love and make decisions. I would love to say more about Aidan but, if you haven’t read the books, I don’t want to ruin your experience!!

There they are! My top 5 magical creatures! I could have made this list longer. And I could have also made it shorter by not adding two to the list today that weren’t technically magical! But, they’re not human either, so…… to me – they’re magical! What creatures would make your list?
