April 2019 Off The Grid TBR!

It’s that time again! The second round of the Off The Grid Readathon begins in just a few hours! At midnight tonight (in your timezone), the readathon kicks off…. and I couldn’t be more excited! This was perfect timing for me. I’ve been really struggling with a reading slump. It hasn’t taken over completely, but that feeling of not being invested has lingered for far too long. Thankfully I’ve been interested in reading a little more and this will be just the motivation I need to read as much as possible! The readathon ends at 11:59pm on Sunday night. For more information if you want to join in, check out THIS POST which includes all dates for 2019 and all the information needed to participate. My goal this time around?? To read 3 books! Let’s see what those books are:

Kiss the girl

The first book that I KNOW I’ll be reading is KISS THE GIRL BY TARA SIVEC. This is the third and final book to the Naughty Princess Club series and I can’t wait! This one follows Ariel, who just so happens to be my favourite character of the series! She’s so bold, in your face, unapologetic, and foul mouthed….. basically me! She’s been holding back the whole series though and I can’t wait to find out why. This is a short one so I know I can read this really fast.

The missing season

The next book that I really want to read is THE MISSING SEASON BY GILLIAN FRENCH. As soon as I heard about this one I was literally shaking with a need to read it! All I know is that there is a Halloween prank war, and a mythical creature called the mumbler that takes children……. that’s all I needed to know! I have no clue what I’m going into with this one but I hope that it’s great!

Nocturna

NOCTURNA BY MAYA MOTAYNE  is a book that I mentioned in my April TBR, but I’m mentioning in this TBR as well. I actually had no plans to pick this one up until the end of the month. But I decided to try the first chapter and I ended up getting so OBSESSED AND EXCITED for it that I kept going until I hit chapter 4…… I couldn’t and didn’t want to stop! I have a feeling that this will be an easy 5 star read. I’m so immersed in the world, magic and characters already and I’m only 4 chapters in! I decided to pick this one up for the readathon because it will be amazing to just binge read it until the last page 🙂

Hello Girls

My last book in this TBR is HELLO GIRLS BY BRITTANY CAVALLARO AND EMILY HENRY. I doubt that I’ll have the time to get to this one but, in the off chance that I finish the first 3 books on this list, this is the next book that I want to pick up. It was described as a modern day Thelma and Louise…. yes please! I recently read Emily Henry’s When The Sky Fell on Splendour and I’ve been dying to read more from her. This is my chance!

Flower divider

So that is my over ambitious TBR for the next 3 days! I would love to say that I’ll finish all of these but that’s a lot of pages. Nocturna alone is almost 500 pages!! I am really excited to get to all of these though so maybe it will happen. Cross your fingers for me!

If you’re planning on participating in the readathon, please check us out on Twitter @OffTheGridReads. We try to keep a post going throughout the day so that we can all talk about our current reads and our progress for the day. Keep in mind that you need to stay strong and not let Twitter lure you in!!

Until next time, happy reading!

  2. Looks like a fun weekend of reading! Hoping at the very least to use Off The Grid to help power through Storm of Locusts (which I’ve already started), and get a good jump on THE PERFECT ASSASSIN!
