OWL’s Readathon TBR!

Oh me and my stupid last minute decisions! LOL! Wait, that’s not fair. Yes, this is a last minute decision, but NO this isn’t a stupid one! I’ve been seeing the OWL readathon everywhere lately! And I’ve really been wanting to kick my reading slump SO I figured I would try to kill many birds with one stone and do the OWL readathon…….. oh dear god that was the worst pun EVER!

Anyways! If you don’t know what the OWL readathon entails, CLICK HERE for the YouTube announcement video. There are 12 prompts for the entire month of April and guess what….. I’m going to try and read a separate book for each prompt! I will probably fail miserably but I’m going to give it a shot! I will be sure to make a list of all the prompts along with the books I plan to read. This is basically doubling up on my April TBR and my Off The Grid Readathon TBR so……. if TBR’s aren’t your thing then my blog will bore you to tears this month apparently lol! Anyway, let’s see what I’m planning on reading for the OWL readathon!

1 – ANCIENT RUNES (RETELLING) – Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec

2 – ARITHMANCY (MORE THAN ONE AUTHOR – Hello Girls by Brittany Cavallari and Emily Henry

3 – ASTRONOMY (STAR IN THE TITLE) – Morning Star by Pierce Brown

4 – CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES (LAND ANIMAL ON THE COVER) – The Bear by Claire Cameron

5 – CHARMS (AN ADULT WORK) – The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

6 – DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS (REDUCTO – A TITLE THAT STARTS WITH R) – Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch

7 – DIVINATION (SET IN THE FUTURE) – The Power by Naomi Alderman

8 – HERBOLOGY (PLANTS ON THE COVER) – A Thousand Years to Wait by L Ryan Storms

9 – HISTORY OF MAGIC (PUBLISHED AT LEAST 10 YEARS AGO) – Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

10 – MUGGLE STUDIES (CONTEMPORARY) – Bittersweet by Sarina Bowen

11 – POTIONS (NEXT INGREDIENT – SEQUEL) – Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden

12 – TRANSFIGURATIONS (SPRAYED EDGES OR RED COVER) – Nocturna by Maya Motayne

I’m panicking and sweating just looking at this TBR! Some of these are HUGE!!! Red Seas Under Red Skies is just over 600 pages and Dragonfly in Amber is almost 750!!! Why am I doing this to myself?? Two reasons. 1 – I have a high motivation to read right now. 2 – I need to stop being scared of big books!!!! Are you participating in the OWL readathon? What’s your TBR look like?

Until next time, happy reading!

Best of luck with the readathon, this looks like a really fun TBR! There are a few chunky books there, but I always find month-long readathons to be really motivating so there’s no reason you can’t get to all the books you want to. 🙂

    1. Do it in a month that works for you then! Readathons almost always happen when I don’t have the time so I do them when it works for me 🙂

  12. I also discovered this read-a-thon a little late and sooooo wanted to participate. However, I’ve not been reading much lately so it’d be extremely foolish of me on multiple fronts lol. I love a great TBR! Good luck! You may end up surprising yourself with those massive books on your TBR ^_^

    How’s the readathon going?
I have got to find a book 10 years old. But a voice in my soul keeps saying “but you have so many pretty new books to read!!”
