Weekly Wrap Up – March 11 – 18

I’m back…… well, sort of. I just wanted to say thank you all for your understanding. The time away from the blog (and literally everything else) was much needed and really helped! It was so nice to not have a million other tasks in the back of my mind, constantly nagging at me “Why aren’t you doing this, this, this, and this??” Unfortunately though, work got crazier. This is the busiest time for our two businesses and it’s looking to be our biggest year yet. We’re getting things done, but it’s a struggle to say the least. So here’s the plan……… THERE IS NO PLAN! Yes, I’m yelling lol. For the next few weeks (possibly months) I will be blogging and commenting when I can. That’s basically all a girl can do. Positive side to all of this – working a lot means lots of time to listen audiobooks! But what did I do this week you ask? Let’s find out!

With the fire on high

This book was just SOOOO good! I loved everything about it! The characters, the story, the passion for cooking, the growth, the emotions, everything! It’s rare for me to fall in love with a YA contemporary but this one was fantastic!! My review is coming soon, but this one doesn’t publish until May. Keep an eye out for my more coherent thoughts lol

Dasiy Jones and the six

As soon as I read the synopsis for this one I knew it was going to be a 5 star read. And it’s definitely starting out that way! I’ve read 2 books from this author and really enjoyed them. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo might even make it on my list of all time favourites! I didn’t think it was possible but I seem to be loving this one even more!!! I’m switching back and forth between the physical and audiobook and highly recommend the audio!!

I am SO glad that I did this topic! It was the Top 5 books set in your own country , where participants from all over the world talked about the books that were set where they live. If you’ve ever wanted to travel in a book, the participants list will help you with that!! This week’s topic is Top 5 Fictional Friendships – I can’t wait to see what makes your list of bookish bestie’s! I probably won’t have time to comment on all your posts, but I will be sure to add you all to the list ASAP!

As you all know, I **might** have a bit of an obsession with Jay Kristoff….. don’t act so surprised! In fact, when it was announced that Fae Crate was going to be doing a hangover box for the release of Darkdawn, I was drowning in messages from everyone asking if I had seen the news! Thank you to each and every one of you for thinking of me! If it wasn’t for you guys, then I might not have seen it! If you’re as obsessed with him as I am, the box goes on sale on March 20th!

So that was my week off! I binge watched The Good Place on Netflix (love that show!), read some books, and just enjoyed the downtime my brain had. I hope to ease back into blogging. BUT – this week started off on a really positive foot – so I have high hopes that this week will go well. Glad to be back!

Until next time, happy reading!

  7. What is it with everything going on sale tomorrow? Like.. Tickets for a show my BF wants to go to, the Goldsboro edition of Aurora Rising (since today was a total failure) AND a Darkdawn Hangover box? Like.. I’m TEMPTED.

[Also the best of luck with your busy businesses! I remember you having a very hard and busy time around this period last year as well so take care of yourself. Don’t burn yourself out! ❤ ]

    1. Yup. February and March are the months I want to pull my hair out as I run in circles and flail my arms like a chicken with its head cut off. No seriously, it’s an accurate depiction 😂 and I know! It seems that everything goes on sale all at once and your wallet cries lol

  8. No plan is also sort of a plan as long as you plan it…lol.

Good luck with your work craziness, I know what that can be like. 🙂

    1. Lol I’m laughing way too hard right now. As a person who is always in control, not having a plan only works when it’s planned 😂
