Weekly Wrap Up – Jan 21 – 27

Happy Sunday! It’s time to wrap up the week – and what a great week for reading! Work slowed down considerably…. well, kind of lol. I still had a ton of stuff to do daily but there was no pressure behind it. I find that I can always accomplish more when I can do things at my own pace. So I was still productive but still managed to keep my sanity and read! And I ended up reading quite a bit this week! Let’s see what’s happening, shall we?

BOOKS I FINISHED THIS WEEK:

I can’t believe that I actually accomplished reading all these books! I had set these plus The Kingdom of Copper on my TBR for the week and I managed to read the first three then started the last this morning! First we have Enchantée by Gita Trelease (click here for the full review and author Q&A!) and I really enjoyed it! Especially the setting of Versailles and Paris in the 1700’s! Next I finished Hammered by Kevin Hearne – god I love this series! In this one we finally get to learn why literally the whole world hates Thor lol. Sadly, there was little to no Oberon, so I was heartbroken! I haven’t decided if I will do a review for this one because I don’t really have a lot to say about it. Lastly this week I finished In An Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire…… dear lord this book nearly killed me! I finished it last night and my heart and emotions are still a puddle on the floor. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did! If I can compose myself, a review will go up for this tomorrow in the afternoon.

BOOKS I’M CURRENTLY READING:

The kingdom of copper

I started this one just this morning but I have a feeling it won’t take me that long to read. The City of Brass made it to #2 on the list of the Top 10 Books of 2018. The writing was so captivating, the world so developed, the characters so intriguing, and the plot so immersive. So much so that I actually just reread The City of Brass last week to prepare for this one! I hope to finish it soon!

OTHER BOOKISH NEWS:

TOP 5 TUESDAY:

This weeks topic was the Top 5 books that need to be a movie! And let me tell you, there were SO many that I would love to see on film! One that I forgot but so many others mentioned was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – hollywood, are you listening?? It would be absolutely amazing! This weeks topic will be Top 5 Badass Females! And the topics for February are being released on Monday morning 🙂 I’m a little nervous for February as I’ve decided to do something really different….. it’s a themed month! Some will love it, some won’t…..

That was pretty much it for this week. I’ve been highly motivated to read this week. I seem to be in the mood for every genre and want to have a book in my hands 24/7. So let’s see what this week will bring! I know that there are a few series that I need to wrap up or catch up on, so that might be my goal for this week. It’s also FREEZING cold here so I won’t be leaving the house much lol! Hope you all had a great week!

Until next time, happy reading!

  4. I’m also currently reading The Kingdom of Copper and it’s SO GOOD. I usually don’t listen to audiobooks much on the weekends but it’s like I’m finding any excuse to keep my earbuds in, lol. I have a feeling I’m going to finish this one pretty quickly myself. Looking forward to your thoughts on this one and the others!
