Top 5 Books That NEED To Be A Movie!

I did a post like this a while ago (click here to see what books I already mentioned I wanted to see as a movie!) but there’s always a list a mile long that I would like to see in visual form! I know that there are quite a few adaptations coming out! A few that I’m dying to see! I have an entire post planned in the next week or so! But for now, here are the top 5 books that I think need to be made into a movie!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming topics in January – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!

Skyward

SKYWARD by Brandon Sanderson

I only just read this one a few days ago, and all I could think of while reading it was that the action scenes would look really cool on the big screen! There are a lot of cool space scenes and simulations that could make for some great visuals!

The loneliest girl in the universe

THE LONELIEST GIRL IN THE UNIVERSE by Lauren James

This one doesn’t lend a whole lot as far as dialogue or a wide variety of characters in a movie, however, this could be a really thrilling thing to see! Since the whole book takes place on a space ship, the setting would be interesting. Also there is a LOT of suspense from beginning to end. If done well, this movie could scare the pants off some people!

City of Brass

THE CITY OF BRASS by S.A. Chakraborty

I need this one to be a movie just for the setting alone! We get a real world setting of Egypt and we also get a fantasy type setting that could be just as beautiful! The plot also lends well to a movie. Different points of view and all characters connect and intertwine. There’s magic and healing, djinn and more! I think this would be BEAUTIFUL on screen!

THE WAYWARD CHILDREN SERIES by Seanan McGuire

This series NEEDS to be a movie! Not only does it need to be a movie, but Tim Burton needs to make it!! Seriously! Just imagine how dark and fantastical this could be! There are so many different fantasy worlds to build and quirky characters to fall in love with. But the worlds are what I really want to see!

Lifel1k3

LIFEL1K3 (and anything else this man has written!!!) by Jay Kristoff

I’m not kidding when I say that everything this man has written needs to become a film!! Even if he wrote a grocery list, i’m sure it would be in a space ship with a metric shit ton of blood. But this book in particular would be amazing!

  6. Completely agree with Skyward and City of Brass! I read Skyward a few weeks ago and LOVED it. And City of Brass is one of my all-time favorites and so I would die if it was turned into a film. I think it would translate beautifully to the big or small screen.
