The “rip it or ship it” book tag!

Ummm….. two things. First – I honestly can’t remember the last time I did a tag….. it’s been a while!! Second – I can’t believe that I haven’t done this tag before! I’ve done a different version of this, but not just the plain normal tag. I’m sure you’ve seen this before but, if you haven’t, here’s the basics:

• Take the names of random book characters, write them on a piece of paper, and mix them around.
• For each round, pick two names.
• From those two names you need to decided if you would “ship” them (put them in a relationship and if it would work out) or “rip” it (meaning that they would probably be a disaster together)

I tried to stick to really popular books so that a lot of you would know who I was talking about. Some I swear I didn’t do on purpose, while others are so outlandish it’s hilarious! Let the games begin!!

ROUND 1 – RICHARD GANSEY 3RD (THE RAVEN BOYS) and CINDER (THE LUNAR CHRONICLES)

A really tough one right out of the gate! Gansey doesn’t go for your typical girl. Going to a private school, and being raised from money, you would assume that he would want a “proper” and typical girl. But since that’s not the case, I think that Cinder might just be interesting enough for him! And Cinder doesn’t shy away from money and a noble upbringing, she might even be interested in him. Though I think she might be a little too bold and abrasive for him, I still think that I would SHIP IT!

ROUND 2 – LAZLO STRANGE (STRANGE THE DREAMER) and KADY GRANT (THE ILLUMINAE FILES)

Another hard one!!! They do have quite a bit in common. Both are highly intelligent and crave knowledge. They’re fact based people and like knowing more than the average person. Technology is an interest for both as well. BUT – their backgrounds are just to different. Lazlo is more in a historical world while Kady is in a futuristic type world, so the two of them might not see eye to eye. Also, Lazlo seems to go for quite and soft (which Kady is not) and Kady seems to go for loud and adventurous (which Lazlo is not.) I say that I RIP IT, but I think that they could have a great friendship and teach each other a lot!

ROUND 3 – HARRY POTTER and FEYRE (A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES)

Hahahaha! I honestly think that Feyre would eat Harry Potter alive! Maybe if she remained the girl in the cabin and never became the bad ass she is….. NOPE! Not even then! Harry couldn’t handle her! RIP IT!

ROUND 4 – AELIN and DORIAN (THRONE OF GLASS)

This is what I meant by I didn’t choose these on purpose! Though I like who Aelin ended up with in the end, I still think that these two would be totally kick ass together! I mean they’ve proven time and time again that they are super powerful when together, so to be a couple would be amazing! I’ll definitely SHIP IT!

ROUND 5 – RHYSAND (A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES) and KATNISS (THE HUNGER GAMES)

Now this is a REALLY interesting one! Rhysand is cunning, hot, strong, determined, brilliant, and so many other things. But the more I attempt to describe him, I’m realizing that those same words can be used to describe Katniss. They could be a force together and take on the whole world! They have soft hearts when they need to, but they’re also totally bad ass when they need to be too. I’m absolutely going to SHIP IT!

ROUND 6 – PEETA (THE HUNGER GAMES) and MIA CORVERE (NEVERNIGHT)

Oh Peeta honey, I love you……… but let’s be honest, you wouldn’t last five minutes with this girl! This is RIP IT for sure……

This is such a fun tag to do! Some of these I could really imagine them together! They could take over the world and live long and happy lives together. And a few of these are just SO wrong together and wouldn’t last longer than a few minutes!! I’m sure that most of you have already done this tag so I won’t be tagging anyone. But, if you’re like me, and you haven’t done this tag, then consider yourself tagged!
