Top 5 characters I want as a best friend!

We’re all bookworms here, right? I think we are, so I can admit something and I know you won’t judge me. *deep breath* Here we go………. I don’t get out much. I’m a bit of an introvert. So going out with friends on a regular basis is rare. Instead, I sit on my couch under a warm blanket, snuggling with my puppy, and I wish that the people I read about in books were real so that I could be friends with them. There. I said it, it’s out in the open, and I feel much better.

All kidding aside, I really do wish that characters in books were real! It’s so easy to find people that you immediately relate to and wish you could go on adventures with. I have quite a few that I wish I could be friends with, and they’re all for different reasons.

JAZZ BASHARA – Artemis by Andy Weir

This is the friend that I want as a trouble maker! If I’m ever bored or looking for something crazy to do, this is the girl that I would call! If I ever wanted to get shit faced drunk and make some bad decisions…. she’s my girl! I have a feeling though that I would end up being the one that would have to keep my head on my shoulders and make sure things didn’t get too out of hand. But that’s literally me in real life lol

AZRIEL AND CASSIAN – A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

I honestly couldn’t list just one of these characters – let’s admit, they’re kind of a package deal! All my life I’ve had an easier time getting along with guys opposed to girls. I find that they’re just less drama. And these two would make amazing friends! They never take anything seriously, they’re always goofing around, and they like to have fun. I want to just spend a weekend in that cabin and laugh until my stomach hurts! But, at the same time, they’re great protectors. I know that I would always feel safe and loved with them.

GINNY WEASLEY – Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

Out of all the Harry Potter characters, Ginny is still one of my favourites. She’s a bit of a mystery, and totally fearless and bad ass! It would also be great to be friends with her because I could hang out in the Weasley house and with the whole crew from the books. Magical powers are also a strong bonus!

ZUZANA – Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Zuzana is very close to me in real life. She is a total smart ass, hilarious, and artistic. I would give anything to sit in the restaurant with her and Mik and just drink tea, eat stew, and draw for hours.

KADE – Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire

Kade just makes my heart melt! I absolutely love him! He’s so sweet, kind, smart, and loyal. Not to mention that with him around I would never have to decide what I was going to wear! Fashion isn’t my thing so it would be nice to have someone just tell me what to wear lol. And all those vintage and different clothes…. swoon!

TOP 5 TUESDAY PARTICIPANTS:

There are just so many amazing characters out there that would make some amazing friends. Some would be great for a laugh, some would be great for support, and some would be great for adventure. I think that for most of us introverts, it’s easier to find someone in a book that would be a great best friend – too bad they’re not real! Who would you love for a bookish best friend?
