We are slowly creeping into my favourite time of year! I love the weather in August, September and October. For some reason the air, the smells, the sounds – I love it all! And it’s also the final month before the kids go back to school. So this is our final month of late night movie marathons, video games, swims in the dark, and super late bon fires. I plan on soaking it all in! I also have a month of really great topics chosen for this month! 2 of which were recommendations by a fellow blogger! So here’s what we will be talking about in the month of August:
August 7 – Top 5 books you read as an ARC (Advanced Reader’s Copy)
August 14 – Top 5 villains more interesting than the hero
August 21 – Top 5 LGBTQ
August 28 – Top 5 bookish maps
The first two topics this month were suggestions from Joe at JW Martin – Storeys of Stories. I have a few more topics that were suggested but these are the first two.
I also wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU for all your excitement and participation! There was a week in July that have over FOURTY participants! WOW! As always, I do my best to keep up with commenting and adding people to the participants list. However, no matter how hard I try to prevent it, my life ends up getting chaotic on Tuesdays. If there’s ever a time that I’m late, or don’t comment, it means that I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off! I always feel guilty but sometimes it just doesn’t work. So please, even if I don’t comment, don’t take it personally! I promise I’ve read your post, but my life won’t give me time to write back. I know you all understand, but I feel so bad about it. Bloggers guilt I guess!

i live in Virginia beach va, nothing comes here and i have tried netgalley before and haven’t gotten any from them yet.

Nothing comes near me either. I’ve heard getting physical ARC’s in the states can be hard, but don’t give up on Netgalley! It will come 😂

August is my birthday month, so I’m super excited for that! I’m so not excited for the weather in the upcoming months, though, because it’s just gonna get hotter until November hits. ;-;

Steven bought the SNES Classic at Target on a whim while we were looking at other Switch games to buy. I was shocked that FFVI is on it — that’s my favorite game, ever!
