July 2018 Book Haul

Everyone clap your hands because I was a good girl this month! I can’t officially say that I’m on a ban. If I tell myself that I can’t have something it only makes me want it more. So I told myself to just calm it down a bit. And I did well! I only purchased 2 books this month and then received 2 ARC’s in the mail. Here are the books that found a home on my shelves this month:

BOOKS I BOUGHT THIS MONTH:

You had to know that this one was coming lol. I found the Chamber of secrets Ravenclaw paperback edition on sale at the book store so I HAD to pick it up! Since I’m a Ravenclaw, I’ve decided to collect the series in the Ravenclaw paperback edition. A whole set would look amazing! I still have a few of the other houses that I hauled last month, but this one needed to be mentioned.

I also purchased The Poppy War. The tome topple readathon was happening and I wanted to read this one. But I didn’t get it in time for the readathon so it didn’t count, but I did read it already. Go me lol

ARC’S I GOT THIS MONTH:

The first ARC I got was Nightblood by Elly Blake – YAYYYYYYY!!!! This one came from Hachette Canada and I couldn’t be happier to have this in my possession! I need to know how it ends and I need to know how she chooses! I will also be going to the book release event for this in August and I will have the entire trilogy signed and personalized. Is anyone else reading this going to the event at Chapters at Devonshire? I would love to meet you!

The next one is The Echo Room by Parker Peevyhouse from Raincoast books Canada. Mystery thrillers aren’t normally my thing, but there’s something about this one that sounds SO amazing! I can’t wait to read this one late at night and hope that it scares the crap out of me!

Arrow

Those are the 4 books I got this month. It makes me feel so good to know that the books I bought I read in the same month or will be reading them very soon. As much as I like getting new books, I always feel a certain amount of guilt if I buy them and let them sit. What books did you get this month? Any new ARC’s that we should be excited for?

Until next time, happy reading!

Ravenclaw represent! I got an ARC of Echo Room as well, and was in the same boat. Normally not my deal, but there’s just a little something extra on this one that drew my attention.

      1. Same here, especially those quick reads that leave you satisfied. Most of the books were short but one was over 500 pages and I felt so proud of myself after finishing it

I bought so many books this month. It is embarrassing. I’m instating a book buying ban as of now.
