Happy Top 5 Tuesday everyone! In the spirit of sunshine, we will be listing our favourite covers with red, orange and yellow! I found it really weird that when I was making this list, there was no red! There are quite a few covers with red, but none of them caught my eye the way these did. Maybe I was just in the mood for colours of the sun today! Here are my top 5 book covers with red, orange and yellow:
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in June – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!
UPROOTED by Naomi Novik
This cover isn’t just one of my favourites in this colour range – it’s one of my favourites of all time! It’s just so soft and beautiful. The colours and drawings themselves are muted and gentle. There’s so much texture to the background and to the drawings themselves. And the font fits perfectly! The cover for her next book is equally beautiful! The cover designer deserves an award!
SAGA VOLUME 8 by Fiona Staples and Brian Vaughn
GAH! What’s not to love about this cover!! The bright yellow background, the rainbow zebra, and the bad ass cowboy feel……. Amazing!!! I can’t wait to finally get to this and see if the inside is just as bad ass!
VENGEANCE ROAD by Erin Bowman
Yet another one that’s on my all time favourites list! This is possibly the most beautiful cover ever! It’s got such a rustic and retro feel. I was so caught up in the beauty of it all that it took me a while to notice that there were guns and skulls on the cover. Literally the only thing I saw were the flowers, cactus, and the glorious font. The colours also make it seem so retro 🙂
THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR by Nicola Yoon
So, technically there’s purple, but there’s also yellow, pink, and orange. And you can’t deny that this design is gorgeous! I always used to be obsessed with those designs that had the strings wrapped around pegs. I don’t even know what that’s called…. but they’re beautiful!
WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI by Sandhya Menon
I normally hate covers with faces on them. Always have and always will. Don’t know why, it’s a thing. But this cover is just so great! She’s smiling beautifully and practically glowing. The simple cup that looks like Starbucks and has the cover in writing. And the designs on her hands lends a wonderful cultural aspect. Everything about this cover is stunning!!
