Beware of the ReaderWhen authors create this amazing world filled with amazing characters, it’s hard for us to not want more! We fall in love and become a part of that book and then…… THE END….. over! Just like that, they’re taken away, never to be heard from again. Not fair I say! I always find myself thinking of characters and worlds of the past and wondering “what ever happened with them?” Here are the 5 books that I wish had a spin off!!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in December – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!
I know this series is already SO long, but I NEED a spin off series with Lysandra! In the beginning I hated her (like mostly everyone did!) but she slowly became one of my favourite characters! Throne of Glass still isn’t over yet, so the fate of Lysandra isn’t determined, but if she makes it, I would love a book dedicated to just her! I want to know all about her past and future!!
Let’s all agree, we can never get enough Harry Potter! What I would LOVE is a book (or two) about Harry’s parents when they were in school! I would love to learn more about them, their dicey relationship with Snape when he was younger, their past with the death eaters, and basically everything that brought them to that “fateful moment”. We kind of know what happened through their life, but I would love a present tense account of everything please 🙂
One of my absolute favourite characters in the Six of Crows duology was Inej. She had such an interesting back story and I couldn’t get enough of it! We know that she came from a family of acrobats which is one of the main reasons that makes me want to scream GIMMIE GIMMIE! That setting could be so magical and intriguing! Then she ends up being sold to a pleasure house and managed to make it out. She is such a stealthy, strong and fierce character and I want to know everything about her!
If you’ve read this book then you’ll know what I mean when I say – I want to know what happened after the tea!!!! This team of characters was just so amazing and something happened that would require them to come back together. I want to know how it happened and what they did after! The way that time travel was explained in this book, and what the team itself was trying to accomplish was just so interesting – I NEED MORE! I want to know what they did, when/where they went, and how they came together. I just need more! And, of course, I need some more of the red panda Saffron!
This is a bit of a different one. It’s a duology where in book one we were introduced to two characters. Then book two came along and it was actually kind of a spin off in itself! As much as I liked book two, I actually ended up missing the characters from book one! We got so invested in their life but we never seemed to get a follow through with their relationship or future. I could use a little more of these characters and future. There was also space pirates in this series – I need more space pirates! LOL!
