Halloween Creatures Book Tag

I was tagged to do this by Emily at Tea With Mermaids and was SO excited as soon as I saw the title!! Halloween creatures?! Yes please! I also knew that I couldn’t let this tag sit for too long since Halloween is almost here, so I’m making sure this one is done soon. I’m going to try and branch out for this one and not immediately choose the answers that jump out at me. I feel like I’m answering questions with the same books all the time – here’s hoping its easy to change things up!

Rules:

  • Follow the categories
  • You must be honest
  • You must answer all questions to the best of your ability
  • You must tag at least 3 people
  • Have fun!
  • Credit would be greatly appreciated (credit goes to Anthony at Keep Reading Forward for creating this tag!)

Arrow

WITCHES: A book or character that is magical

the-night-circus

Everything about this book was magical!! The setting, the writing, and the characters!!! Every time I look at this cover I can still picture the tents in my mind and all the magic that was inside them.

MUMMIES: A book or character you can’t wrap your mind around

gone-girl

I can’t wrap my mind around any of this. I can’t get the author, this book, or the awful freaking characters she wrote about. LOATHE this book!!! Sorry to all the fans out there but I just can’t!

VAMPIRES: A book, series, or author you can’t live without

This might be cheating – but I don’t care!! It’s my blog and I’ll do what I want! LOL! I feel like I couldn’t live without these three authors. Ryan Graudin writes the most imaginative historical fiction, taking things in directions you wouldn’t expect. Jay Kristoff is a bloody genius – enough said. And Ruta Sepetys writes the most glorious and emotional historical fiction out there. These three are my everything! My other more obvious answer would be JK Rowling and Sarah J Maas.

WEREWOLVES: A book best read in the middle of the night

you

Yup, read this one in the middle of the night and try not to look out your window to make sure no one is watching you. Good luck with that! This one gave me the absolute chills! Both because of the content but also that it comes from the perspective of a killer himself.

ZOMBIES: A book you picked up for the second time/continued after DNF’ing it

I don’t have an answer for this one. It’s quite rare for me to choose to DNF a book. But once I’ve decided that it’s not for me I will never give it a second chance.

GHOSTS: A book you easily predicted a twist or ending

Warcross

I predicted a lot of this book actually. From the beginning to the end. Even though I predicted it, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all. I still really liked this one!

FRANKENSTEIN: A book that truly shocked you

nevernight

So many times throughout this book my jaw was hanging wide open. Even the smallest things could catch me off guard – but it was all in the best way possible! The unforgiving brutality is one of the things that shocked me the most! He is just so unafraid to kill off characters!

SKELETONS: A book or character that chilled you to the bone

It

Clowns – fricken clowns. I don’t need to say anything else

GHOULS: A book that left you hungry

Hmmmm not quite sure how to answer this question. Are we talking literally hungry or hungry for more of the book? Literal hungry would probably be The Wrath and the Dawn. Hungry for more would be Zodiac

GOBLINS: A greedy character

I honestly can’t think of a single one. Not one. I’m sure that after I’m done posting this I will see something that reminds me of a character and then I’ll slap my forehead because really, how did I not think of that person. But for now – nothing.

DEVIL: A dark and evil character

winter

Queen Levana is one heck of a scary lady! She is capable of so much – including convincing people that she’s not as bat shit crazy as she is. Not to mention she created an entire army of wolves who were once human……. enough said.

SCARECROW: A book or character that scares you

Sorry but this is a bit of a repetitive question. The question skeletons asked about a book that chilled me to the bone. Isn’t that the same as being scared pretty much? It is and my answer is the same

Nice Job! The skeleton part also had the option of “a character that got your funny bone.” The scarecrow was there if you chose the funny part of the skeleton because there had to be a question about something scary for Halloween!

Thank you for doing the tag!

    1. It’s amazing!!!! I had it on my shelf for a year. I thought I wasn’t going to like it or that it would be more if the same fantasy with a vengeance story. I was SO wrong!

    1. I just assumed it wouldn’t be able to live up to the hype so I put off reading it. But it blew the hype out of the water for me!! It’s genius! I hope you love it!
