This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. This is what truly defines an awesome blogger.
I was nominated for this one by the one and only Kyera of Kyera’s Library and I LOVED her questions so much! Almost as much as I love our conversations and her blog. It’s conversations that I have had with her that make blogging the best decision in my life. I feel like she’s one of my bookish BFF’s – damnit I got all emotional for a second….. it’s early and I’m sleep/coffee deprived! Anyways, she’s amazing and as soon as I read her questions I immediately started a document and got to writing! Here they are:
1 – HOW DO YOU LIKE TO ORGANIZE YOUR BOOKS?
As of right now, my books are organized by genre. I have a shelf for my TBR, historical fiction, fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, horror/thriller, contemporary, adult fiction, and then a random shelf. I ran out of room on my fantasy and science fiction shelves so I had to do some reorganization (that I decided to start at like 11:00pm one night……… bad call) and now I have more space for books! I better get reading!
2 – ARE YOU THE KIND OF READER THAT USES BOOKMARKS AND KEEPS THEIR BOOKS IN PRISTINE CONDITION, OR DO YOU FOLD THE CORNERS OF THE PAGES AND WRITE IN THE MARGINS OR UNDERLINE THINGS?
I’m a bit of both actually. I always use book marks and never intentionally mark up a book – so no dog ears, no writing, no breaking of the spine, etc. But, I don’t care if my books get marked up. If there is a spot, worn edges, bent cover, or anything else, it means that I read it and went on adventures with it. The marks even help me remember what I was doing and where I was when I read it, so it ends up being sentimental book injuries lol!
3 – DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE SEASON FOR READING?
Absolutely! Fall and winter is when I do most of my reading and find it easier to transport myself into the pages. I live in the most southern part of Ontario Canada so we lots of snow and cold temperatures. I HATE the snow so I rarely go outside unless I have to! There’s nothing better than sitting under a blanket reading a book, watching the snow fall! But in the summer time it gets really hot which means playing outside, in the pool, camping – basically my life is too busy to read.
4 – IF YOU COULD BE ANY FICTIONAL CHARACTER, WHO WOULD YOU BE?
Hmmmm this was a hard one! I would have to choose either Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter (because MAGIC!), or Feyre from the ACOTAR trilogy (because RHYSAND!!) I’m leaning towards Feyre though…….. I just want to touch those wings! *wink wink*
5 – IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY FICTIONAL CHARACTER/ANIMAL AS A SIDEKICK/BEST FRIEND, WHO/WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
Zuzana from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy! I love her so much! She’s so feisty, brutally honest and salty!
6 – WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLANET?
I don’t know why, but this was my favourite question! I love little tiny Pluto. The outcast of all the planets, the smallest of all the planets, and the furthest away! Me and Pluto have a lot in common.
7 – IF YOU COULD CONTROL ONE OF THE ELEMENTS, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?
So many abilities to choose from! Air would be cool – then I could breathe under water. But I think I would choose Earth. I would love to have the ability to make things grow and wither. I would never have to pull weeds again! LOL! But I would love to be able to make a forest grow wherever I was. I want so badly to live in a forest, and no matter where I was I could make that a reality!
8 – DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING BESIDES BOOKS?
Do essential oils count? I used to use them all the time when I was a teenager. They really helped and I liked that they were natural. But then they got really hard to find so I had to stop using them. Now that they’ve become popular again I’ve been trying to build my collection and go as natural as possible. I even make my own soap!
9 – WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL?
Owls! I absolutely love and relate to owls. They are old souls, living in isolation at night…. and they fly. Well I can’t fly but all the rest is a lot like me. Oh! And people who can read really fast – they’re my spirit animal as well!
10 – WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
So many things! Books obviously. But there’s also my family, the sun, water (I zone out when I’m near a body of water! If I’m near an ocean, a bomb could drop and I would remain calm and peaceful), trees, amusement parks, camping.
This is where I cheat. I SUCK at coming up with original and interesting questions. Not to mention I’m finishing up this post and then preparing for a day of running around like a chicken with my head cut off – so many things to do and buy before the kids go to school on Tuesday!!!!! So for those that I tag, I would like to see you answer the same questions 🙂 I love to see the differences in answers, and these questions were just so amazing! So I nominate:
- Krysti @ YA And Wine
- Rebecca @ My Life as a Sports Fangirl – I remember you saying something about wanting to do a tag but wanting to get nominated 🙂 But that’s NOT the only reason I think you’re an awesome blogger!!!!
- Jessie @ Nerdy Book Life
Until next time, happy reading!
